What is the difference between Office 365 Business and Office 365 ProPlus?
Apart from pricing, 365 Business and the more expensive 365 ProPlus are essentially the same at first glance. However, there are some subtle differences that one should be aware of before making a decision, the most important being:
- 365 ProPlus includes Microsoft Access; 365 Business does not (Access can only be run on a PC and not a Mac).
- 365 Business has a limit of 300 users in a single account; 365 ProPlus has no limit on number of users.
That said, both options can:
- Install the latest version of Office on up to five computers for each user
- Install and use the Office applications on iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices
Other 365 offers include these offers as part of their final offer:
- 365 Business is bundled in with the Office 365 Business Premium plan.
- 365 ProPlus is bundled in with the Office 365 E3 and E4 plans.
Other, less significant differences include:
- 365 ProPlus includes powerful Excel features (Compare, Inquire, Power Pivot, Power View); 365 Business doesn’t.
- 365 ProPlus includes InfoPath Designer which is used to design, distribute, complete and submit electronic forms and can be used in conjunction with SharePoint Online; 365 Business does not.
- 365 ProPlus allows the ability to run Microsoft Office on virtual desktops; Office 365 Business does not.
- 365 ProPlus can block cloud-based file storage through a registry edit; 365 Business cannot.
- 365 ProPlus has Group Policy support; 365 Business does not.
- Office 365 ProPlus supports Exchange Online and SharePoint Online Archiving and Compliance; 365 Business does not.
- 365 ProPlus supports Information Rights Management (and therefore Azure Rights Management); 365 Business does not.
So the long and the short is, 365 ProPlus is an enterprise offering; 365 Business is a retail offer. Both can be coupled with other 365 offers to make for an interesting and flexible mix of products and services.
Do you charge for support?
We do not charge for our first level support services such as configuring email clients on mobile, OS X and Windows desktops, licensing queries and email routing and delivery. This includes telephonic and remotely accessed support such as TeamViewer.
I already have a 365 account but want to use Databias. What do I do?
If you already have a Microsoft 365 account and would like to designate Databias as your reseller you need to submit a reseller relationship request with Mircosoft.
- Create a support request with Databias requesting the reseller URL.
- Login to 365 using your administrative login.
- Click on the link provided in step 1.
- Approve the reseller relationship.
What can I do to make my emails look less like spam?
Sometimes, your mail will end up in your recipient’s spam or junk box, and they will not see your mail. This can sometimes lead to missed deadlines etc, so here is some guidelines to ensure that your mail does not get marked as spam
- Don’t use all caps anywhere in your email or its subject line.
- Don’t leave subject line blank.
- Don’t use exclamation points!!!!!
- Don’t use video, Flash, or JavaScript within your email.
- Don’t use spam trigger words. Here is a link that shows common spam trigger words.
- Don’t use a red font when drafting your emails.
- Don’t forget to use spell check.
- Don’t use an overwhelming number of images, or huge images.
- Do keep emails short.
- Don’t insert odd characters or tabs in the subject line or body.
What is your support system’s general turnaround time?
Depending on the current load of support requests, during working hours (GMT+2 / South African time) our support team generally responds to support requests within an hour or two.
Out of office hours and during public holidays our support team can take 6 – 8 hours to respond to any queries.

In future you will be able to create requests for support via the Dcentral interface, however this feature is still currently in beta and as such not available for use. Support requests will NOT be initiated via telephone, Whatsapp or SMS. Our support team is trained only to act on existing tickets and no changes will be made until the requester has been positively authenticated.

I am trying to purchase a subscription or license but am told I have insufficient funds?
Databias operates on a prepaid system only. In order to purchase or renew licenses and products you are required to have a sufficient positive balance in your account.
For the renewal of licenses, you are given 5 days after being invoiced to top up your account before your services are de-provisioned from our system.
How can I change my password?
Users can change their own passwords by logging into 365 at https://login.microsoftonline.com using their web browser (we recommend Google Chrome) and visiting their profile. From there go to ‘Security & privacy’ and select ‘Change your password’.
Company administrators can also change user passwords by logging into Dcentral and navigation to the mailbox is question.
