Can I have a mix of 365 and POP mailboxes in a single domain?

Yes, you can. You will need an available Exchange enabled mailbox license (Exchange Online Plan 1 or Business 365 Premium) plus a Databias web hosting package. You will then be able to select which type of mailbox you desire when you create a mailbox.
